Former Higbee High School standout Derek Rockett and the Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys dropped a 6-1 decision to the Delta State Statesmen in NCAA Division II baseball action on Tuesday, March 17, at 3 p.m.

The matchup took place at Baswell Field and marked the first meeting between the Wonder Boys and Statesmen this season.

Rockett gave up five earned runs over 4.1 innings, with four strikeouts and three walks.

The next game for the Wonder Boys is set for Friday, March 20, at 6 p.m. at Baswell Field against the East Central Tigers.
