The University of Missouri’s swimming and diving teams are set to host Texas A&M on Friday, November 1, at the Mizzou Aquatic Center. This will be the Tigers’ second home dual meet of the 2024-25 season.

Last week, Missouri faced a close loss against Purdue. The women’s team was defeated 161-139, while the men’s team lost by a narrow margin of 151-149. Despite the losses, Missouri secured first place in 12 events during the meet.

Friday’s competition will be dedicated to Colten, a pediatric cancer patient, through a partnership with Playing 4 Hope. The event begins at 10 a.m., with live results available via Meet Mobile and DiveMeets apps. The meet will also be streamed live on SEC Network+. Admission is free and open to the public. Fans are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes; candy will be distributed at the entrance.

In their history against Texas A&M, Missouri’s men trail in the series 6-4, while the Aggie women lead 10-2. The last meeting between these teams occurred on January 6, 2018, where both Missouri squads were defeated in College Station.

During last week’s meet with Purdue, several Missouri athletes had notable performances. The men’s 400 free relay team—Philipp Peschke, Grant Bochenski, Luke Nebrich and Francois Malherbe—won their event with a time of 2:56.18. Additional victories included wins in both men’s and women’s medley relays.

Junior Collier Dyer received recognition as Southeastern Conference Men’s Co-Diver of the Week after his performance against Purdue. He achieved his first win of the season in the one-meter springboard with a score of 356.03 and earned silver in the three-meter springboard with a score of 376.20.

Other standout performances came from Jan Zubik who won two individual golds (200 fly and 200 back), Karolina Bank who won three events including both breaststroke races and contributed to another relay victory, Abbey Taute (200 back), Zoe Schneider (1000 free), Taylor Williams (200 fly), freshman Philipp Peschke who had two individual second-place finishes plus relay success in his debut, Gabriela San Juan Carmona who placed second in three-meter springboard for her second consecutive podium finish this season, and freshman Katie Kuehn who registered personal bests across multiple events.

After this meet against Texas A&M, Missouri will have a two-week break before competing at the Georgia Invitational from November 20-22 in Athens.
