The University of Missouri swimming and diving team is set to travel to Springfield for a meet against Missouri State on Saturday, December 2. The competition will take place at the Hammons Student Center Pool, with events scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. Live results will be available through the Meet Mobile app.

Missouri State is one of Missouri’s most frequent opponents in swimming and diving. The two programs have competed annually since 2011 and this weekend marks their 19th meeting in the past 25 seasons.

A total of 48 athletes from Missouri will participate in the meet, including all winners from the recent Mizzou Invite.

This visit follows an earlier trip by Missouri to Lindenwood in November, making it their second in-state meet this season. It is also the seventh time since 2000 that Missouri has made two trips to other schools within the state during a single season. Previous occasions involved meets against both Missouri State and Drury.

Since 1998, Missouri’s men’s team holds a record of 16 wins and two losses against Missouri State, having won each of their last 14 encounters. The women’s team remains undefeated with a perfect record of 14-0 versus the Bears.

At the recent Mizzou Invite, eight Tigers achieved times that placed them among the program’s all-time top ten performances. Taylor Williams (1:55.88) and Emily Roden (1:56.39) recorded the second- and third-fastest times in school history for the women’s 200 butterfly event. Grant Bochenski posted a time of 45.60 seconds in the men’s 100 backstroke, ranking fourth all-time for Missouri.

Jane Smith finished first in the women’s mile (1650 freestyle) with a personal best time of 16:25.29, moving her up to fifth on Missouri’s all-time list for that event. Calvin Windle also broke into the top five with his performance in the men’s 200 freestyle, clocking in at 1:34.30.
