Missouri track and field ends regular season at Rock Chalk Classic

Missouri track and field finished its regular outdoor season on May 2 with the second day of competition at the Rock Chalk Classic in Lawrence, Kansas.

The event marked the conclusion of the Tigers’ outdoor campaign before entering postseason meets. Several athletes earned top finishes, including senior Robert Hines, who took second place in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.42 seconds among a field of 21 competitors.

River Hardman competed in the 800 meters for Missouri, finishing eleventh with a time of 1:53.67 and placing within the top third of participants. In men’s shot put, Chase Crawford led for Missouri by securing second place with a throw of 17.12 meters (56-2), while teammates Sam Albert and Clayton Kamp placed third and fourth respectively.

In women’s discus throw, Ames Burton achieved sixth place with a mark of 49.40 meters (162-1). Additional results included Allison Geen finishing twelfth in her event with a height of 3.57 meters (11-8½).

The Tigers will return to Columbia before traveling to Auburn, Alabama for the Southeastern Conference Outdoor Championship from May 16 to May 18 at Hutsell Rosen Track Facility.
