Missouri women’s basketball announced on Apr. 14 the signing of transfer guard Nevaeh Caffey from Indiana, according to head coach Kellie Harper.

The addition of Caffey brings a player with experience and in-state roots back to Missouri. Her arrival is seen as a move to strengthen the Tigers’ roster for the upcoming season.

Caffey started all 32 games for the Hoosiers last season, averaging 8.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game. She scored in double figures in twelve games, including eight of her final nine appearances, and recorded a season-high of 18 points against Penn State on Feb. 28.

Harper said, “Nevaeh is a rising star whose work ethic and mentality will elevate our program. It’s important for our staff to prioritize in-state talent and keep Missouri at the forefront—we’re excited to bring Nevaeh home!”

Originally from Warrenton, Missouri, Caffey was ranked No. 65 nationally in the class of 2025 recruiting rankings and was named a four-star prospect after her high school career at Incarnate Word Academy. During her time there, she helped win four consecutive Missouri Class 6 State Championships and earned recognition as the state’s Miss Show-Me Basketball for 2025 while contributing to a national record-setting streak of 139 straight wins by her team.

In her senior year at Incarnate Word Academy, she averaged nearly seventeen points per game along with contributions across rebounds, assists, and steals. She also received third team All-American honors as well as Class 6 All-State Player of the Year recognition.

Caffey becomes the second player added through the transfer portal this offseason for Missouri.
