The University of Missouri has named Brandon Loschiavo as the new assistant diving coach for its swimming and diving program for the 2024-25 season. The announcement was made by head coach Andrew Grevers.

Loschiavo is a two-time Olympic qualifier and former NCAA champion in the 10-Meter Platform dive. He arrives at Missouri with more than three years of coaching experience, having focused on developing core training programs and improving athlete performance both in and out of the pool. Most recently, he served as a volunteer assistant coach at Purdue University, his alma mater.

“Brandon brings an incredible array of experience to the diving-well,” said Mizzou Head Diving Coach Kyle Bogner. “Not only is his athletic experience relevant, but Brandon has been a student of the sport for many years. From strength and conditioning, to nutrition and mental performance, he has a holistic approach and is able to look at every aspect of what it takes to be a champion and apply it to a training environment. We are thrilled to have Brandon here at the Zou!”

Originally from Huntington Beach, California, Loschiavo qualified in the 10-meter event for each of the last two Olympic Games. He finished 11th at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and placed 17th at this summer’s Paris Games.

Loschiavo graduated from Purdue with a bachelor’s degree in mass communications. During his collegiate career, he won the 2021 NCAA individual title in platform diving, was named Purdue’s Male Athlete of the Year, earned three Big Ten championships in platform diving, and received the Big Ten Medal of Honor in 2021.

After graduation, Loschiavo worked as a club diving coach in greater Los Angeles for two years with Trojan Dive Club before joining Mission Viejo Nadadores.
