At noon on Saturday, April 18, Morehead State, featuring former Battle High School standout Ainsley Stubbs, secured a 1-0 victory over the UT Martin Skyhawks in an NCAA Division I softball contest.
Bettye Giles Field hosted the season’s first meeting between the two teams.
Stubbs threw seven innings, issuing three walks and striking out eight batters.
The Eagles will face the Skyhawks again at 2:30 p.m. at Bettye Giles Field.
