Rep. Mark Alford, U.S. Congressman representing Missouri’s 4th district since 2023, posted on his Twitter account about a recent meeting with Jason Harrison from Sheet Metal Workers Local #2. The posts highlighted discussions on pro-worker policies and the range of work undertaken by union members.

On May 4, 2026, Alford wrote: “Great meeting with Jason Harrison from Sheet Metal Workers Local #2 today!! https://t.co/D3UC192dRo”.

In a follow-up post on the same day, he stated: “It’s encouraging to hear how pro-worker policies are helping create more opportunities and keep folks on the job. Always appreciate the chance to connect and stay engaged with the hardworking men and women who keep our communities running.”

Alford further detailed their discussion in another tweet: “We had a productive conversation about the wide range of work their members do. From HVAC and metal siding to projects at Kauffman Stadium—and the strong demand they’re seeing across the industry.”

Mark Alford succeeded Vicky Hartzler as representative for Missouri’s 4th district in 2023. He was born in Baytown, Texas in 1963 and currently resides in Lake Winnebago. Alford graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
