Rep. Mark Alford, who represents Missouri’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, posted updates on constituent services, local weather alerts, and international affairs on April 17, 2026.

In a tweet summarizing recent office activity, Alford stated: ” 332 new cases opened 301 cases closed (266 successfully) Hundreds of Missourians helped navigate federal agencies” (April 17, 2026).

Later that day, he issued a public safety notice regarding severe weather: ” Flood warning in Bates, Cass & Henry County. First responders are actively monitoring conditions. Stay safe, stay informed, and check on neighbors—especially those who may need assistance. Be sure to track radar updates https://t.co/Y5ViWHiwpP” (April 17, 2026).

Addressing developments in global security and energy markets, Alford wrote: “Oil prices DOWN. Shipping lanes OPEN. Iran BACKING OFF. Peace through strength works. https://t.co/JnwPn3VMwR” (April 17, 2026).

Alford has served as the representative for Missouri’s 4th District since replacing Vicky Hartzler in 2023 and is currently based in Lake Winnebago after being born in Baytown, Texas in 1963. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
