Rep. Mark Alford, who has represented Missouri’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress since 2023, shared updates from his district on May 4, 2026, through a series of posts on social media.

In a message referencing both his constituency and the popular “Star Wars” phrase, Alford wrote on May 4: “May the Fourth…District of Missouri…be with you today! “

Later that day, he provided details about his activities in the district: “MO-04

Good to be away from the swamp and back in the fourth district, traveling with Ka’von and Jake from our district office! Today we are meeting with constituents, small businesses & hearing your concerns. #Working4You” This post was made at 19:27 UTC.

A few minutes later, Alford posted about a specific meeting held in Butler, Missouri: “Fantastic time in Butler, MO today, meeting with the Bates County Commissioners and local constituents. We had a productive conversation about the economic outlook for Bates County + the challenges facing our rural MO-04 communities.” The tweet highlighted discussions on economic issues affecting rural parts of his district.

Alford succeeded Vicky Hartzler as representative for Missouri’s 4th congressional district beginning in 2023. He was born in Baytown, Texas in 1963 and currently resides in Lake Winnebago. Alford earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1988.
