Rep. Mark Alford, who has represented Missouri’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress since 2023, highlighted rural small businesses and educators in a series of social media posts on May 5, 2026.

In one post, Alford thanked constituents for their support and previewed upcoming features on local enterprises: “Thank you for your dedication to MO-04! Stay tuned this week as we continue to spotlight the rural small businesses that keep our communities strong.” (May 5, 2026).

Later that day, he shared details from a visit to Clinton Flower Shop in Henry County: “Along with being a wonderful small business in MO-04, Clinton Flower Shop also hosted some great conversations during our visit yesterday. We had the opportunity to meet with local community leaders and hear directly from folks in Henry County about the issues impacting rural” (May 5, 2026).

Alford also recognized educators alongside his colleagues from Missouri: “Proud to join my Missouri colleagues to honor our amazing teachers! READ: https://t.co/R3oSDETUjO” (May 5, 2026).

Alford succeeded Vicky Hartzler as representative of Missouri’s 4th district beginning in 2023. Born in Baytown, Texas in 1963 and currently residing in Lake Winnebago, Alford graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1988.
