Rep. Mark Alford, U.S. Congressman representing Missouri’s 4th district since 2023, shared a series of posts on social media addressing both spiritual and economic topics in early May 2026.

On May 3, Alford posted a religious message to his followers: “Hey folks and Happy Sunday. Today we are sharing 1 Peter 2:5. God is building us together as His people: to serve Him and offer our lives as worship through Jesus. A simple and powerful message! https://t.co/NlIuXhGiDh”.

The following day, May 4, Alford highlighted recent federal action benefiting workers in Missouri. He wrote: “Missouri workers just got a big boost! @POTUS’ new Executive Order launches https://t.co/0Szo7K1h7A, giving millions without employer retirement plans access to low-cost IRAs + up to $1,000 in federal matching contributions every year!! https://t.co/JGBjvEPBvT”. In a subsequent post on the same day, he added: “Helping gig workers, small business owners, + part-timers in Missouri build real retirement security. Delivering results for working families.”

Alford succeeded Vicky Hartzler as representative of Missouri’s 4th district after the 2022 election cycle. Born in Baytown, Texas in 1963 and currently residing in Lake Winnebago, Alford earned his BA from the University of Texas at Austin in 1988.
