On Saturday, Feb. 22, former David H. Hickman High School standout Zach Bates’ current college team, the Illinois Fighting Illini, won 15-3 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Texas State Bobcats.

The game took place at Bobcat Ballpark. This was their first matchup against the Bobcats this season.

The Fighting Illini’s next game is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 23 at 12 p.m. at Bobcat Ballpark against Texas State Bobcats.
