On Saturday, March 22, former David H. Hickman High School standout Zach Bates’ current college team, the Illinois Fighting Illini, lost 14-4 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Northwestern Wildcats.

The game took place at Rocky and Berenice Miller Park. This was their third matchup against the Wildcats this season.

The Fighting Illini’s next game is scheduled for Tuesday, March 25 at 6:05 p.m. at Grizzlies Ballpark against Missouri Tigers.
