Cost of college went up for all students at Columbia College

Tuition and fees rose 3.5 percent for 2018-19 at Columbia College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Missouri students paid $22,704 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $768 more than the $21,936 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 90 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 284 students received grants or scholarships totaling $3.4 million and 185 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.2 million.

Including all undergraduates (12,080), 6,974 students used grants or scholarships totaling $37.5 million, and 6,065 students took out $46.9 million in federal student loans.
