Census Bureau: More men than women in Mexico in 2020

Of the 11,535 people living in Mexico in 2020, 49.7 percent (5,730) were women and 50.3 percent (5,805) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Columbia News.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by 216. In the 65 and over age range, there were 1,186 females and 826 males.

Data for this story was compiled from the bureau's American Community Survey. Information from the survey helps to determine how federal and state funds are distributed.
