Last month, Boone County OEM, along with the City of Columbia, local law enforcement agencies, the Boone County Fire Protection District, Southern Boone County Fire Protection District and healthcare providers, held a full-scale emergency training exercise at the Columbia Region Airport.
During the exercise, emergency personnel responded to a simulated plane crash. Volunteers acted as crash victims while local EMS and law enforcement officials responded as they do during a real emergency. This exercise allowed community partners to prepare in case of a real emergency at Columbia Regional Airport.
