2021 has 5.2% of Cooper County residents unemployed

Cooper County recorded an unemployment rate of 5.2% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 409 people out of the 17,397 living in Cooper County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Cooper County has decreased compared to the 5.7% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Cooper County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 4.5%.

Everyone who had a job at the time belonged to the civilian labor force.
