The City of Columbia has launched a new system for residents to report non-emergency issues. This portal aims to make it easier for residents to notify city staff about problems, request action, and follow the resolution process.

City Manager De’Carlon Seewood commented on the improvements: “We are excited to announce significant improvements to our reporting system, designed to enhance how our community interacts with city services. This upgraded platform not only streamlines the process for residents to report issues but also ensures that their concerns are addressed more efficiently and transparently.”

Residents can access the reporting feature through CoMo.gov or the MyCOMO mobile app. The process allows users to provide identifying information if they choose, but submissions remain anonymous by default. Required fields must be completed before sending the information directly to the appropriate city staff.

The system includes features such as uploading photos of issues and receiving a report number for tracking purposes. Residents can monitor progress, view status updates, and add comments. Email notifications will be sent when requests are received, acknowledged, updated, and closed.

A live interactive map is available for viewing reports in specific areas, covering topics like potholes, street light issues, water leaks, and events.

For more details on how to report an issue or other inquiries, residents can contact the City's Contact Center at 573-874-CITY (2489).
