Mark Alford emphasizes military readiness and legislative goals

Rep. Mark Alford, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Missouri’s 4th district, has been active on social media sharing his views and updates. He replaced former Congress member Vicky Hartzler in 2023 and has since continued to voice his opinions on various issues.

On June 20, 2025, Rep. Alford expressed a strong stance regarding Iran, stating "The Iranian regime is a weed of terrorism that has been able to fester for far too long." He emphasized the readiness of American military forces by adding, "Congress can’t tie President Trump’s hands. If he decides to cut the head off the snake, I can assure you—our B-2s and airmen at Whiteman AFB are ready, capable, and lethal."

Later that day, he announced an upcoming communication effort with constituents through an e-newsletter. In his words from a tweet posted at 21:00 UTC: "New E-Newsletter coming to you today, recapping our in-district work period this week! You won’t want to miss it." He encouraged followers to subscribe for updates.

In another post made at 21:30 UTC on the same day, Rep. Alford highlighted legislative priorities with enthusiasm about what he termed as "The One, Big Beautiful Bill." He tweeted: "The One, Big Beautiful Bill locks in @POTUS’ tax cuts, unleashes American energy, and delivers historic border security! Time for the Senate to get it passed."

Mark Alford was born in Baytown, Texas in 1963 and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BA in 1988. At age 59, he resides in Lake Winnebago.
