The University of Missouri's women's basketball team is set to compete against Washington State on November 23 at the WBCA Showcase, which will take place at Walt Disney World Resort. This announcement was made jointly by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association and Disney.

The WBCA Showcase will occur from November 20-23 and will feature eight teams: Baylor, Central Missouri, Davidson, Iowa, Miami, Missouri, Washington State, and West Florida. Jason Siegel, President & CEO of the Greater Orlando Sports Commission stated, "This tournament continues to feature top-tier women's programs and adds to the legacy of major events hosted at ESPN Wide World of Sports at Walt Disney World."

With a record of 393-260 over 20 seasons as a Division I head coach and nine NCAA Tournament appearances under her belt, Harper has guided her teams to numerous successes. Her experience includes 11 seasons within the SEC.

Grace Slaughter is entering her junior season with Missouri and was named the SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year for 2024-25. She averaged 15 points per game last season.

Missouri's roster also sees seven new transfers: Chloe Sotell (Pepperdine), Jayla Smith (Purdue), Lisa Thompson (Rutgers), Sydney Mains (Florida Atlantic), Shannon Dowell (Illinois State), Jordana Reisma (Cleveland State), and Saniah Tyler (Kentucky).

Washington State finished last season with a record of 21-14. The team features junior guard Eleonora Villa who led with an average of 13.6 points per game.

This match-up marks the first meeting between these two programs.
