Boone County property owners will soon receive their 2024 tax statements, licenses, and special assessments in the mail. Brian McCollum, Boone County Collector of Revenue, advises residents to promptly open and review their statements for any discrepancies. Should issues arise, taxpayers are encouraged to contact the Collector's Office before the December 31 deadline.

Residents who do not receive their tax statements by December 1 should reach out to the office. It is important to note that not receiving a bill does not exempt one from paying taxes or potential late fees as per state regulations. Taxes are assessed annually on January 1, with payment due upon receipt. The final date for payment without incurring penalties is December 31, 2024.
