In response to a National Weather Service tornado warning, Boone County Joint Communications attempted to activate the outdoor warning sirens from the radio console as per policy. This action resulted in some sirens being heard in parts of Northern Boone County. Staff and contracted agents worked quickly to identify and correct the issues with the outdoor warning siren systems.
