Application window opens for Boone County senior tax relief program

Applications for the Boone County Senior Real Estate Tax Relief Program will open on April 1, 2025. Interested individuals can access applications and frequently asked questions online by visiting www.ShowMeBoone.com and selecting the Boone County Senior Real Estate Tax Relief Program link at the top of the page. Additionally, applications are available in person at the Boone County Collector of Revenue's Office located on the first floor of the Boone County Government Center, 801 E. Walnut, Columbia.

Completed notarized applications, along with required supporting documents, should be submitted to the Collector's Office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Notarized applications may also be mailed to the Collector's Office at 801 E. Walnut, Room 118, Columbia, MO 65201.

Public notaries will generally be available from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday on the first floor of the Boone County Government Center to assist with notarizing applications. Notary services are also offered at most banks/credit unions and local libraries.

Applicants should allow up to 30 days for their application to be reviewed and for notifications of approval or denial to be sent by the Collector's Office.
