The Boone County Commission has announced the appointment of Christie Davis as the new Director of Joint Communications. With an extensive background in emergency communications, Davis brings 17 years of experience in police, fire, and medical emergency communications, management, and training to her new role.

Davis earned both a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Alabama. Her career includes previous roles as Supervisor and Director of Quality Assurance and Training for the Tuscaloosa County Emergency Communications District. Additionally, she served as a Dispatcher/Communications Training Officer for the Northport Police Department.

She holds certifications from several national accreditation agencies that focus on emergency communications, training, public safety, and management.
