Since 2020, the Boone County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) has not had a permanent site for training its deputies. Training sessions have been conducted at various locations throughout the county based on availability and suitability rather than size and equipment. The BCSO has made use of available facilities to train its own deputies and expand regional training opportunities. This includes K9 training for over 40 law enforcement agencies across Missouri. Despite these challenges, the BCSO continues to lead in K9 training, Active Shooter Training, Crisis Intervention Training (CIT), School Resource Officer Training, among other specialized courses.
