Boone County Commission reviews senior tax relief amid legislative session

The Boone County Commission is engaging in the public process of drafting a policy concerning a senior tax relief program. The final approval of this policy is pending the conclusion of the 2024 Missouri Legislative Session. Currently, cleanup legislation related to the senior citizen property tax freeze is under discussion in the Missouri General Assembly.

The legislative session will end at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2024. By then, more information regarding the parameters of the legislation is expected to be available.
