Columbia Chamber honors commissioner Karen M. Miller with businesswoman award

On Wednesday, the Columbia Chamber of Commerce awarded Southern Boone County Commissioner Karen M. Miller the 2010 Debin Benish Outstanding Businesswoman Award. The award ceremony took place at the Annual Chamber Meeting and Award Banquet.

The Debin Benish Outstanding Businesswoman Award recognizes a woman who demonstrates leadership in supporting small businesses, has a history of community volunteering, mentors other businesswomen, and is either employed by or owns a Chamber-member business. Additionally, the recipient must be a member of the Women's Network.

Along with the award, Miller received a $1,000 grant from Women's Network and Delta Systems Group.
