Representatives from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (DNR) convened with local government leaders, community officials, and citizens on Tuesday for a public meeting regarding the draft Hinkson Creek Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) document. Following this meeting, DNR communicated via email to the City, County, and University of Missouri that they plan to reorganize the implementation language of the TMDL. This reorganization aims to phase in the TMDL over several permit cycles.

Despite these developments, there remain uncertainties about many conclusions and requirements within the TMDL. In response, Boone County has prepared a comment letter highlighting some issues identified in the draft document. These comments were submitted on Thursday, April 22.
