Boone County hosts public discussion on Hinkson Creek water quality plan

Boone County will host a public discussion on the draft Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) for Hinkson Creek. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, April 20, at the Roger B. Wilson Government Center in Columbia, Missouri, from 2 to 4 p.m.

Staff and decision-makers from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will be present to address questions and gather feedback. Those with inquiries are encouraged to submit them by 3 p.m. on Friday, April 16, to Bill Florea at BFlorea@boonecountymo.org.

The draft TMDL document is available online at the Missouri DNR website. The public comment period will conclude on April 22, 2010.
