In a series of tweets posted on July 14, 2025, Schmitt outlined his criticisms of current government practices and announced forthcoming legislative action.

In one tweet, Schmitt stated, "For too long, Democrats and faceless career bureaucrats have partnered with leftist NGOs to advance radical agendas the American people NEVER voted for." (July 14, 2025).

Schmitt also emphasized the need for Congressional action to address inefficiencies in government. He wrote, "It's past time for Congress to get serious about rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse in government. This week, I will be leading President Trump's rescissions package through the Senate to claw back $9.4 billion and realign federal spending to advance American interests." (July 14, 2025).
