U.S. Senator Eric Schmitt (R-MO) has expressed his approval following the Senate's confirmation of President Trump's nominees for judicial positions in the Eastern District of Missouri. Cristian Stevens and Joshua Divine, both former colleagues of Senator Schmitt during his time as Missouri’s Attorney General, have been confirmed by the Senate to serve as judges.
In a statement on the Senate floor, Senator Schmitt highlighted the qualifications of Stevens and Divine. "I was proud to support Cristian Stevens and Josh Divine’s nominations to serve as Judges for the Eastern District of Missouri and am glad that they have both been confirmed by the Senate," he stated. "Both nominees are extraordinary legal minds who worked with me during my tenure as Missouri’s Attorney General, where we fought each day to uphold the rule of law and keep Missourians safe."
Senator Schmitt acknowledged President Trump for nominating these individuals and thanked his Senate colleagues for their support. He added, "I know they will serve the Show Me State with honor and distinction for years to come."
