The University of Missouri women's soccer team secured its first win of the season with a 5-0 victory over Youngstown State on Wednesday at Audrey J. Walton Soccer Stadium.

Senior Hailey Chambliss scored her first goal for Missouri in the 79th minute and added a second less than a minute later, making her the first Tiger to record multiple goals in a game since Leah Selm achieved the feat against Oklahoma in October 2024.

"When you put five in the back of the net and you have a shutout on the other side of it, you're going to be happy," said head coach Stefanie Golan. "There were moments of some really good stuff, but there is still a lot that we need to continue to grow and get better at."

Missouri opened scoring in the 20th minute when sophomore Landis Canada found the net for her first goal this season. Five minutes later, sophomore Emily Derucki assisted Brianna Buels for Missouri's second goal—a header marking Buels' first score of the year and fifth overall in her career.

In the closing stages, Chambliss scored twice: once off a shot that bounced down from the crossbar into the corner and again after receiving a pass from freshman Ava Lamothe, who notched her first collegiate assist. The Tigers extended their lead further when sophomore Mia Devrouax netted her first career goal with an assist from McKenna Moran two minutes after Chambliss' double.

Missouri registered 11 shots in the second half, totaling 20 for the match—the most since recording 26 against SEMO last September. The team has now scored six goals across its opening two games, matching its best start since 2023.

Next, Missouri will travel to face No. 23 Saint Louis at Robert R. Hermann Stadium on Sunday at 5 p.m., with coverage available via ESPN+.
