Missouri Tigers women's soccer will play its first away match of the 2025 season against No. 23 Saint Louis University on Sunday at Robert R. Hermann Stadium. The game, scheduled for 5 p.m., will be available via live stream on ESPN+.
This meeting marks only the second time the two programs have faced each other at the Billikens' home field, with the previous encounter occurring in November 1997. The series was renewed in 2024 after a three-year stretch from 1996 to 1998. Missouri is seeking its first road win over Saint Louis.
Entering their third game of the season, the Tigers are coming off a dominant 5-0 victory over Youngstown State, which was their largest margin since defeating SEMO by five goals in September 2024. Senior Hailey Chambliss scored her first and second goals for Missouri late in that match, becoming the first Tiger to record a multi-goal game since October last year. Freshman Mia Devrouax also scored her first collegiate goal during that contest.
Goalkeeper Kate Phillips recorded four saves in Missouri's season opener, marking the highest total for an opening match since August 2018.
Chambliss returned to competition this year after redshirting in 2024 due to giving birth to her daughter Oakley. Her two-goal performance ties as the second-most scored by an individual player in a single Southeastern Conference game so far this season.
Senior midfielder Keegan Good leads all returning players with three goals last year and is preparing for medical school while playing soccer. Over the summer, Good played with Rochester FC in the USL W League and interned at Mayo Clinic under Dr. Rafael Sierra's orthopedic research team.
The Tigers roster features eight players who recorded multiple points in a single game last season and includes several recognized on this year's SEC Soccer Preseason Watchlist: Brianna Buels, Landis Canada, Emily Derucki, Keegan Good, Morgan Meador and Mia Yang.
Missouri's next three matches—against Saint Louis, Memphis and Missouri State—are all away games. This is their first stretch of three consecutive non-conference road games since starting the 2018 season on a similar schedule.
On staff changes, head coach Stefanie Golan added associate head coach Renee Horton from West Georgia and goalkeeper coach Austen Parker from North Texas during the offseason. Horton brings experience from several Division I programs including Georgia and USC and has coached teams to NCAA Tournament appearances and conference titles. Parker joins after one year at North Texas and previously led Mid-America Christian to a national championship as a player.
Facility improvements are underway at Audrey J. Walton Track & Field and Soccer Stadium following a significant donation from Audrey J. Walton announced earlier this year by Mizzou Athletics (https://mutigers.com/news/2025/1/29/general-audrey-j-walton-gift-to-transform-mizzou-track-field-soccer-stadium.aspx). The gift ranks among the ten largest ever for Mizzou Athletics and is specifically aimed at Olympic sports infrastructure upgrades including new grass fields and subsurface improvements.
Saint Louis enters Sunday's match with a record of one win and one loss after falling to No. 14 Penn State earlier this week. The Billikens finished last season with a strong conference record (15-2-6 overall) before being eliminated by USC in the second round of the NCAA tournament; they return seventeen players from that squad.
