Mizzou Tennis head coach Bianca Turati has resigned to take an associate head coach position at another institution, according to University of Missouri Director of Athletics Laird Veatch.
Silvia Chinellato, previously the associate head coach, has been named interim head coach for the Tigers.
"We appreciate Bianca's dedication to our program over the past three years, and we wish her all the best moving forward," Veatch said. "Silvia has been a great addition to our program since her arrival, and she brings previous head coaching experience and high-level playing experience to this role as interim head coach as we head into the 2025-26 season."
Chinellato joined Mizzou’s tennis staff on September 6, 2024. In her first season, she helped lead the team to two ranked Southeastern Conference wins against No. 55 Mississippi State on March 2 and No. 22 Florida on March 21.
Before coming to Mizzou, Chinellato was the head coach for both men's and women's tennis programs at Mount St. Mary's during the 2023-24 season. She started there as an assistant coach and led the women's team to a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference playoff spot in her first year.
