Mizzou women’s cross country records top GPA in fall academic report

Mizzou Track and Field student athletes finished the 2019 fall academic semester with strong grade point averages, according to information released by the university. The women's track and field team posted a 3.50 GPA, which matches the highest semester average for the program in the past two decades.

The overall Mizzou Track and Field program reported a semester GPA of 3.23, slightly below its ten-year average of 3.25. The team has more than 100 student athletes, with 73 achieving GPAs above 3.00. On the women's roster, 84% surpassed that mark. Thirty-six athletes recorded GPAs higher than 3.50, while thirteen earned perfect scores of 4.00.

The Mizzou Women's Cross Country squad also showed strong results with a GPA of 3.59 for the fall semester, exceeding its decade-long average of 3.46.

"The Tigers have continued to uphold high academic standards while competing at the highest collegiate level in the competitive Southeastern Conference."
