Mizzou Athletics sets new record with 95 on SEC Academic Honor Roll

Mizzou Athletics has set a new school record by placing 95 student-athletes on the 2020 Fall Southeastern Conference (SEC) Academic Honor Roll, according to an announcement made Tuesday by SEC commissioner Greg Sankey. This surpasses the previous record of 86 honorees in 2019.

The honor roll covers student-athletes from cross country, football, soccer, and volleyball. Eligibility is determined based on academic performance during the Spring, Summer, and Fall terms of 2020.

Across the conference's 14 institutions, a total of 1,263 student-athletes were named to this year's list. Details about the complete Fall 2020 SEC Honor Roll and its nomination criteria are available at the official SEC website.

All five Mizzou programs had representatives on this year’s list. Football accounted for the largest group with 38 honorees. Soccer followed with 22 student-athletes recognized, while women’s cross country had 20 student-athletes named to the honor roll.

The following members of Mizzou Women’s Cross Country were recognized: Richelle Bain (Business Administration), Andi Bowman (Undeclared, Business or Accountancy), Sarah Chapman (Business Administration-MBA), Isabelle Christiansen (Political Science), Tori Findley (Health Science), Abby Hake (General Studies), Lily Hamilton (Undeclared, Business or Accountancy), Claire Hill (Undeclared, Business or Accountancy), Abby Juedemann (Pre-Nursing), Karina Liz (Secondary Education), Jenna Lutzow (General Studies), Lexi Maddox (Health Science), Melissa Menghini (Health Science), Ginger Murnieks (Health Science), Mikayla Reed (Special Education), Reilly Revord (Romance Languages), Emma Roth (Health Science), Jenna Schwartz (Undeclared, Business or Accountancy), Kelsey Schweizer (Undeclared, Business or Accountancy) and Anna Sullentrup (Biochemistry).

Other sports also saw recognition for their athletes’ academic achievements in various fields of study.
