Missouri Tigers announce four-race regular season for 2024 cross country

The University of Missouri cross country team has released its 2024 schedule, featuring four regular season races and two home meets at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia.

The season will begin on August 30 with the XC Opener, followed by the Gans Creek Invitational on September 27. The invitational is expected to draw more than 60 schools to compete at Missouri's home course.

"We are ready to begin the 2024 cross country season and showcase the work our teams have put in during the offseason," said cross country coach Kyle Levermore. "We are especially excited that we will get to compete at home twice to showcase our first-class facility to our fans and other programs around the nation."

Missouri’s away schedule starts with the Spiked Shoe Invitational hosted by Penn State on September 13 in University Park, Pennsylvania. The Tigers will then travel to Tuscaloosa, Alabama for Alabama's Crimson Classic on October 18.

Postseason events include the SEC Championship on November 1 at Texas A&M’s Watts Cross Country Course in College Station, Texas. The NCAA Midwest Regional is set for November 15 in Peoria, Illinois, and the season concludes with the NCAA Championship on November 23 in Madison, Wisconsin.
