The University of Missouri track and field team will send 20 student-athletes to the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field West Preliminaries, which will take place from May 28 to May 31 at Texas A&M's E.B. Cushing Stadium.
Athletes representing the Tigers include Valentina Barrios (javelin), Rahel Broemmel (5000m), Alicia Burnett (100m and 200m), Ames Burton (discus), Morgan Cannon (javelin), Skylar Coffey (shot put and discus), Claudina Diaz (high jump), Lasse Funck (800m), Val Galligan (javelin), Petra Gombas (hammer throw), Tarique George (discus), Kaesha George (javelin), Sam Innes (hammer throw), Reagan Kimrey (hammer throw), Steven Marks (100m), Kristi Perez-Snyman (high jump), Drew Rogers (10,000m), Callan Saldutto (javelin), Sterling Scott (triple jump) and Monica Wanjiku (5,000m and 10,000m).
According to event organizers, the top 12 finishers in each event—hammer throw, javelin, shot put, 10,000 meters, discus, triple jump and high jump—will move on to compete in the final round of the NCAA Outdoor Championships scheduled for June 11-14 in Eugene, Oregon.
