The University of Missouri's swimming and diving team recorded its highest number of individual finalists on the fifth day of the 2025 SEC Swimming and Diving Championships, with ten athletes advancing to individual finals at Gabrielsen Natatorium in Athens, Georgia.
Grant Bochenski reached his second individual final at this year's conference championships, finishing ninth in the men's 100 backstroke with a time of 45.71 seconds.
Jan Zubik competed in his third consecutive men's 200 butterfly SEC Championships final, placing tenth. His time of 1:41.26 ranks as the fourth fastest in program history. Freshman Matthew Judkins also swam in the event final, finishing nineteenth with a time of 1:43.08.
In the women's 100 breaststroke, all four Missouri athletes advanced to finals. Karolina Bank posted the team's top result by finishing tenth with a time of 58.99 seconds, which is the third fastest mark in school history. Zara Zallen placed thirteenth (59.94), Paige Striley seventeenth (1:00.46), and Holley Dennis twenty-fourth (1:01.16).
Alex Ochsenbein represented Missouri in the men's 100 breaststroke final, taking sixteenth place with a time of 52.48 seconds.
Sophomores Kylee Sullivan and Emily Roden both achieved personal bests during the women's 200 butterfly finals. Roden finished twenty-second (1:57.46) and Sullivan followed in twenty-third place (1:57.86).
Both the men's and women's squads concluded Friday night with tenth-place finishes and season-best times in their respective 400 medley relays. The women's relay team—Sydney Bales, Karolina Bank, Taylor Williams, and Zara Zallen—finished in 3:33.49, while the men's relay—Bochenski, Ochsenbein, Zubik, and Luke Nebrich—posted a time of 3:06.60.
The Tigers will finish their participation at the SEC Championships on Saturday before hosting the Mizzou Qualifier from March 1-2 at Mizzou Aquatic Center.
