The University of Missouri's diving team completed its participation at the NCAA Zone D Diving Championships, securing seven qualifying marks for the upcoming 2025 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. The event took place at the Campus Recreation & Wellness Center in Iowa City, Iowa.
Four Missouri divers earned platform diving bids on the final day of competition. Overall, six Mizzou divers concluded the Zone meet with a total of seven championship qualifications. The NCAA Championships are scheduled to be held later this month in Federal Way, Washington.
On the women's side, Mia Henninger will compete at her first NCAA Championships after an eighth-place finish in platform diving with a score of 540.90. She advanced to the finals by scoring 264.25 in preliminaries.
Three male divers from Missouri qualified for men's platform diving at the national championships. Tommaso Zannella achieved the highest mark among them, finishing fourth overall with a combined score of 762.00 and a preliminary round score of 387.35. Derek Colbert finished fifth (753.45), having scored 373.40 in prelims, while Deacon Colbert secured his spot with a seventh-place finish (732.80) and a preliminary score of 377.80.
Collier Dyer previously qualified for both the 1-meter and 3-meter events earlier in the week and competed in men's platform finals, placing fourteenth with a total score of 656.55. Olivia Liddle represented Missouri in women's platform diving and scored 202.50.
The upcoming NCAA Women's and Men's Swimming and Diving Championships will take place at Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center in Federal Way from March 19-22 for women and March 26-29 for men.
