Mizzou Athletics has changed the kickoff time for Saturday's home football game against Louisiana due to expected extreme heat in Columbia. The game, which is sold out, will now begin at noon Central Time at Memorial Stadium.
"Nothing is more important to us than the health and safety of our student-athletes and the game-day experience for our fans," said Mizzou Director of Athletics Laird Veatch. "We are incredibly grateful to our fans for their understanding and flexibility as we make this adjustment. With extreme heat in the forecast, especially later in the afternoon, we believe it's necessary to move kickoff earlier in the day to ensure the safest and most enjoyable experience possible for everyone who will be part of Saturday's sold-out game at Memorial Stadium."
Digital tickets will update automatically with the new start time. Fans must enter Memorial Stadium on the side where their seats are located to avoid congestion on the south concourse; ticket scanners will not permit entry from incorrect sides.
Fans can check MUTigers.com and official Mizzou Athletics social media channels for further updates about game-day operations. Attendees may bring one clear factory sealed water bottle into the stadium, which can be refilled at stations on both east and west concourses.
With this schedule change, gates at Memorial Stadium will open at 10 a.m., and Tiger Walk—the team’s arrival—will take place at 9:30 a.m.
