Junior diver Tommaso Zannella earned All-America honors on the final day of the NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships, marking a significant achievement for the University of Missouri's swimming and diving program. The event took place in Federal Way, Washington, concluding the 2024-25 season for the Mizzou men's team.
Zannella advanced to the finals in platform diving after recording a career-high score of 351.50 in preliminaries. He finished 13th overall with a score of 348.40 in the consolation final, which secured him an Honorable Mention All-America citation. "As University of Missouri swimming and diving wrapped up its 2024-25 campaign at the NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships in Federal Way, Wash."
Teammates Deacon Colbert and Derek Colbert also competed on platform, finishing 21st and 23rd respectively. Deacon posted a personal best score of 321.50 over six dives, while Derek scored 317.90.
In other events, junior Jan Zubik narrowly missed qualifying for finals in the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:41.60. Senior Grant Bochenski led Mizzou swimmers in the 100 freestyle with a time of 42.70 seconds, closely followed by freshman Luke Nebrich at 42.84 seconds.
The Mizzou men's team placed 36th overall at nationals, securing its fourteenth national finish in sixteen seasons at the NCAA Championships.
The team's relay squad—composed of Bochenski, Nebrich, Darden Tate, and Ethan Vance—competed in the finals of the 400 freestyle relay and finished with a time of 2:52.22.
The Tigers conclude their season having reached another milestone with continued appearances at national competitions.
