Following a 42-31 victory over Kansas in the StorageMart Border Showdown, several University of Missouri football players received national honors for their performances. Quarterback Beau Pribula was recognized as the Maxwell Award's National Player of the Week and was included in both the Davey O'Brien Award's Great Eight and Pro Football Focus Quarterback of the Week. Pribula completed 30 of 39 passes (77%) for 334 yards and three touchdowns against Kansas. His passing yardage was the most by a Missouri quarterback against Kansas since Chase Daniel threw for 361 yards in 2007. Pribula also set a program record by completing or converting four fourth-down passes, helping the Tigers succeed on 80% of their fourth-down attempts.

Graduate transfer offensive lineman Dominick Giudice, who was part of Michigan’s 2023 National Championship team, earned Outland Trophy National Player of the Week honors and was named SEC Offensive Lineman of the week for his role in Missouri’s win over Kansas on September 6. Giudice contributed to an offense that produced two players with more than 100 rushing yards—Jamal Roberts with 143 and Ahmad Hardy with 112—as part of a total rushing effort that amassed 261 yards. The Tigers’ offense finished with a total of 595 yards.

Tight end Brett Norfleet had a career day, recording seven receptions for 76 yards and two touchdowns. For his performance, he was named John Mackey Tight End of the Week. With his second touchdown against Kansas, Norfleet tied Michael Egnew at seventh all-time among Missouri tight ends with eight career touchdowns. He currently leads Missouri with three receiving touchdowns this season.

Pribula was also named to Pro Football Focus Team of the Week along with running back Jamal Roberts and wide receiver Kevin Coleman Jr. Roberts ran for a career-high 143 yards on just thirteen carries, including a late fourth-quarter touchdown run that secured Missouri’s win. Coleman Jr., meanwhile, caught ten passes for a career-best 126 yards and two touchdowns—the best performance by a Tiger receiver against Kansas since Justin Gage’s eleven-catch, 148-yard game in 2001.
