The University of Missouri men's golf team is set to compete at the Canadian Collegiate Invitational, which begins Sunday in Foot's Bay, Ontario. The event will be held over three days, with teams playing 18 holes each day and concluding on Tuesday. Mizzou's first tee time is scheduled for 9:50 a.m. CT.

The tournament takes place at Öviinbyrd Golf Club, a par-72 course stretching 7,157 yards. Designed by Thomas McBroom and opened in 2004, the course is recognized as one of Canada's top golf venues.

Mizzou will compete against ten other schools: British Columbia, George Mason, Kent State, Miami (Ohio), Michigan, Michigan State, UNC Wilmington, Notre Dame, Penn State and Rutgers.

Last year at this tournament in Canada, the Tigers secured a second-place finish with a team score of -12. Veikka Viskari led Mizzou in his debut for the team with an eight-under 208 (69-67-72), earning him a spot among the top five individuals.

Earlier this season at the Folds of Honor Collegiate in Michigan, Mizzou placed sixth overall after two strong days of play and finished ahead of preseason No. 9 Florida State. Viskari was again the team's leading performer by finishing seventh individually and recording both the lowest round of the tournament and his career-best score—a 66 during the final round.

The lineup for this week's event includes Veikka Viskari, Trent Mierl, Reese Roberts, Bradley Mulder and Virgilio Paz; Bubba Chapman will compete as an individual.

After returning from Canada, Mizzou's next competition is scheduled for Monday, September 29 at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational in Arkansas.
