Rep. Mark Alford, who represents Missouri’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets this week reflecting on recent legislative developments and commemorating the late Charlie Kirk.

On September 12, Alford shared an overview of the week’s events, stating: "This week on Capitol Recap Remembering the life & legacy of Charlie Kirk Passing the NDAA to strengthen America’s defense Restoring the warrior ethos in our nation 12/12 appropriations bill mark ups completed Standing up for rural broadband access Don’t https://t.co/e8X1EApW3w".

On September 14, he addressed his followers directly about recent tragic news: "Hey folks. This week we mourn the tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk. His life reminds us that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of darkness. Alford has been serving as Missouri's 4th district representative since 2023 after succeeding Vicky Hartzler. Born in Baytown, Texas in 1963 and now residing in Lake Winnebago, Alford holds a BA from the University of Texas at Austin (1988).
