Rep. Mark Alford, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Missouri’s 4th district since 2023, addressed the recent assassination of Charlie Kirk in a series of posts on his official social media account.
On September 15, 2025, Alford wrote, "The tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk should be a clarion call for unity through faith and patriotism.
After meeting with a local @TPUSA chapter, we know the movement he built will continue. We will honor his legacy by standing strong for our values and fighting for America."
Later that day, Alford posted another message: "We are in a spiritual battle for the soul of our nation.
Praying that we can all put on the full armor of God and come together to create something good following the shocking assassination of Charlie Kirk."

Alford has represented Missouri's 4th District in Congress since replacing Vicky Hartzler in 2023. He was born in Baytown, Texas in 1963 and currently resides in Lake Winnebago. Alford earned his BA from the University of Texas at Austin in 1988.
