MU Health Care schedules over 20 flu and COVID vaccine clinics across central Missouri

MU Health Care is organizing over 20 flu and COVID vaccination events throughout central Missouri during September and October.

The first event will be held in Jefferson City on Saturday, September 27, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Madison Street Medical Building next to Capital Region Medical Center. Another walk-in event at the same location is scheduled for Saturday, October 11, during the same hours.

Columbia will host drive-thru vaccination events on October 18 and October 25 at South Providence Medical Park. These events will provide car-side flu shots for adults and children aged six months and older from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Updated COVID vaccines will be available for adults aged 65 and older or those with qualifying conditions.

A drive-thru event is also planned in Fulton on Saturday, October 11, from 8 a.m. to noon at Fulton Family Health.

For those attending drive-thru events, MU Health Care advises patients to wear loose clothing and short sleeves when possible. This recommendation is particularly important for young children who may receive their shot in the thigh. All patients are required to bring an insurance card and sign a consent form before receiving their vaccination while remaining in their vehicle. Employees of MU Health Care should also bring their badge.
