Rep. Mark Alford, who represents Missouri’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, marked several milestones and legislative efforts in a series of posts on September 18, 2025.
In an early post that day, Alford recognized the anniversary of a major military branch, stating: "Happy Birthday to the United States Air Force! 78 years of excellence and strength. A special shout-out to the men and women at MO-04’s Whiteman Air Force Base & all airmen who serve in the skies to protect our freedoms." (September 18, 2025).
Later that afternoon, he highlighted recent progress on federal appropriations for his district: "12/12 appropriations bills done & almost $23 million for MO-04. Proud to be a Member of @HouseAppropsGOP to get this done. Now, the House and Senate must pass a short-term CR to advance the America First Agenda." (September 18, 2025).
Alford also promoted legislation aimed at supporting small businesses: "Small businesses are the backbone of America. The STRONG Act would double SBA loan limits , giving entrepreneurs the capital they need to grow , create jobs , and protect taxpayer dollars . Main Street deserves nothing less!" (September 18, 2025).
Alford has served as Missouri’s 4th District representative since replacing Vicky Hartzler in 2023. He was born in Baytown, Texas in 1963 and currently resides in Lake Winnebago. Alford graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BA in 1988.
