Alford succeeded Vicky Hartzler as representative of Missouri’s 4th District and has been active in highlighting both local concerns—such as agriculture modernization and infrastructure—and broader policy issues since taking office.
He was born in Baytown, Texas in 1963 and currently resides in Lake Winnebago.
Alford earned his BA from the University of Texas at Austin in 1988.
